This weekend I also did an upcycle on a Banana Republic collared shirt from Goodwill

I bought these buttons from Walmart

I had to clip off the backs of them so they would lay flat. then I used jewel washable glue, so hopefully I can wash it and they stay. Fingers crossed

Finished project! I really really like it.

diy laundry detergent

I've been "going organic" and I blame my sister in law for rubbing off on me. To me honest, it's fun!

I decided to make my own laundry detergent with her recipe!

The recipe is 2 cups grated soap. 1 cup washing soda. 1 cup borax. Use 2 tablespoons when washing.

grated soap! I used Dove "summer care" I didn't hurt myself either. (shocking)

I needed an air tight container with a handle, so I bought a pitcher.

I really like it! It smells good, and it will be cheaper in the long run.
