Where does inspiration come from? How do you decide what you like and what works for you? Do you have a favorite celebrity style? I found my celeb style twin at seventeen.com. It's Rita Ora, a British singer-songwriter that has hits "How We Do (Party)" & "R.I.P". Love both of those songs, and her style. Twins? I accept.

Dentist/shop outing

After the weekend I had, I was happy to have a dentist appointment/shop outing with my mother yesterday. We both needed an extra day to recupe ;)

Iowa/ISU weekend

I had such a fun weekend with a handful of my girlfriends. We made the 2 hour drive to Iowa City to watch the Hawkeyes vs Cyclones! I have lived in both Cedar Rapids and Ames, therefore, I root for both. As long as it's a good game. I did not stop laughing the entire time I was there. Yes, that is my tailgating shirt "I'm just there for the party" I just cut a Goodwill t shirt up and painted on it.

I got the pleasure to spend time with my best friend who lives too far away from me now :( We got to cuddle and pee our pants with each other. <3

Iowa/ISU bracelets

It is that time of the year for college football, so I decided to make some Iowa Hawkeye/ISU bracelets. I'm going to try and sell some at the market! I haven't made bracelets like this since high school. 

I just pop on the TV and go to town.

This weekend I helped my boyfriend's mom with her garage sale. It was a lot of fun, she even let me take home whatever I wanted. FREE CLOTHES! It was such a nice day out, and by that, I mean it wasn't hot. I am so over summer. I knew it was going to be the only day I put make up on. Pay no attention to the weird pose.

This weekend I also did an upcycle on a Banana Republic collared shirt from Goodwill

I bought these buttons from Walmart

I had to clip off the backs of them so they would lay flat. then I used jewel washable glue, so hopefully I can wash it and they stay. Fingers crossed

Finished project! I really really like it.

I had my cousins baby shower this Sunday and thought what a perfect time to wear my maxi dress.

My dress is from Urban Outfitters. Bracelets from Forever 21. Shoes from Famous Footwear, they are American Eagle. Necklace from Charlotte Russe. Earrings from Avon?

Also, on unrelated news. My roses are coming back.

This weekend I finally got to wear my diy cut out skull shirt!

I cut an old shirt of mine. I need to make a stencil or something to make it easier and cleaner.

pink/white leopard toes

Good morning Mondayers! This weekend went by too quickly. Probably because I was busy/lazy all at the same time. I did however, manage to finally get my toes painted!

I'm pretty impressed on how they turned out. 

There are the colors I used + white. 

Sorry, it's hard to see. I used sparkles, hot pink, black pen, and white polish.

First step is to paint your nails half hot pink half white.

Step two is to draw your black spots

Finally, add your sparkles. I just out the sparkles where the spots are!

Voila! Pretty toes. I did it pretty quickly, but I'm ok with how they turned out.

Vacation in Kansas City, MO

Good Morning! Getting back into the work routine has been rough. Which means a lot of coffee. My boyfriend and I went on a 4 night vacation to Kansas City. We did it last year and are making it a yearly tradition. Even though we would like to go more often. It's 3 hours away from us, but we keep ourselves entertained. Never a dull moment in our lives.

Being in Kansas City, we HAD to go to Power and Lights for some drinks! We met up with friends and had a great time.

Our last day in Kansas City was a little gloomy. Iowa straight ahead was nice and sunny! Good thing to come home to.

Tonight, we go to the Iowa State Fair!
