Stitch Fix

I got my first Stitch Fix Friday, along with my Mynt Box. I think I'm going to fall in love with Stitch Fix. What they do is, you answer a million questions about size and style. It costs you $20.00 for them to ship you the box. If you decide to buy something, that $20.00 becomes a credit. Example, if you like a top that comes in your box that is $30.00 and you decide to keep just that item, it's only $10.00. If you decide to keep all 5 items you get 25% off everything. Here is what I did not keep.

I really did like this top, however, it was not in my price range $$

This is the dress I decided to keep, I would have probably just walked by this dress in a store, but when I tried it on it fit perfect and looked amazing!
&& after you try on everything you have 3 days to take it to the post office in this pre-paid mailing bag!

My next Stitch Fix will be coming just in time for my birthday!

My dress is from Urban Outfitters. Bracelets from Forever 21. Shoes from Famous Footwear, they are American Eagle. Necklace from Charlotte Russe. Earrings from Avon?

Also, on unrelated news. My roses are coming back.

This is the story of my "garden"

Vacation in Kansas City, MO

Good Morning! Getting back into the work routine has been rough. Which means a lot of coffee. My boyfriend and I went on a 4 night vacation to Kansas City. We did it last year and are making it a yearly tradition. Even though we would like to go more often. It's 3 hours away from us, but we keep ourselves entertained. Never a dull moment in our lives.
the view from my window.

Kansas City. and this thing is pretty neat.

The buildings close to where we stay are beautiful

We shopped until we dropped
The best part about our trips are H&M and Urban Outfitters. There are some things from Charlotte Russe too!

I realized I kind of have a thing for fountains.

Being in Kansas City, we HAD to go to Power and Lights for some drinks! We met up with friends and had a great time.

Our last day in Kansas City was a little gloomy. Iowa straight ahead was nice and sunny! Good thing to come home to.

Tonight, we go to the Iowa State Fair!

zZz

Let me just start by me venting about how exhausted I am. I had a very productive/fun weekend, but I did not get enough sleep in the process. Friday was too much fun. I went out for margaritas with a couple girlfriends. We started at 5pm. DO NOT DO THIS! I love these girls, even though one of them is running away from us to another state. WAH!

We also saw fireworks from the minor league baseball field that is close by. I have a love/hate relationship with fireworks. They are pretty to look at, but I don't like the loud booms. I believe Kasey said "you squirmed like a little girl"

Yes, I did wear this downtown Des Moines and yes I am posing that a real cowgirl. Success!

Saturday was party day again, sadly I did not participate.

After the graduation party I had to make a run to Hobby Lobby and Walmart. I almost fell asleep in the jewelry section. I did get everything I needed, this usually doesn't happen.

This is what my Saturday night looked like.
Full of making things and cake in a cup

Sunday was another fabulous/tired day. I got to hang out with my nephews all day. They were very good boys, but they can wear me out quickly.

I did get started on my tote designs and finished some necklaces Sunday night.

I'm even more tired writing all this. I'm going to go home and going straight to bed. I'll leave you with this. BONUS! My mother sent me this picture, the fern I got her looks pretty next to her flowers.

pizza dip. tanks. skirt

yesterday us girls were going to do a little patio sitting, but it turned out to be a really cloudy day :| so instead I went to goodwill, did some grocery shopping, and made PIZZA DIP!
my mother has made this dip before and it is delish.
great for when you have people over. it was perfect because we had something to eat when we came home from the bar ;)

what to do:

you can either eat this cold or you can bake it, eat it with crackers or chips! in a bowl, mix the cream cheese,1/2 c sour cream, and a tsp of oregano. put this mixture into your pie tin. top it with pizza sauce, as much cheese, green pepper, and crushed red pepper as you like. I'm not much of an onion eater but my boyfriend loves them, so when the recipe calls for them I just use minced onion. bake it on 400 degrees for 15 minutes

I bought some shirts at Goodwill and cut them into razor backs.
I'm ready for summer!

I also bought...

we needed wine glasses, $2.99! These earrings, which I love $.75! I needed a basket for Easter Sunday to bring my goodies for the fam. not sure how much it was!

I didn't take any pictures Satruday night, but I did get a shot of my outfit!

craftday

SPRING IS HERE

It was a beautiful day here in Iowa yesterday and instead of enjoying the great outdoors, I have been inside all day. Crafting that is. However, I did get to drive with the windows down on my way to Hobby Lobby!

I decided I needed some Easter/Spring decor to get into the season.

I usually make something unhealthy/delicious on the weekends!
I call this Peanut Butter Cereal Treats (clever right)
I also made another duct tape rack for my boyfriends mom. She brought over a sample of her wall paper for me to match it. I found the perfect colors!
 Hope she likes it.
