Tutorial: "Hippie Hair"
As soon as my boyfriend saw my hair he said "hey dude, peace and love" Therefore, I call this one, hippie hair.
- Straighten your hair, or in my case, try!
- Pull a section of hair out. You can pull the front pieces if you wanted.
- Try to braid back as much as you can.
- Do the other side. I also teased the back of my head a little so it stuck out over the braids.
- You could braid them both together and work your way down, but I went with more casual and tied them together.
I've always liked this look on me, I've just been so boring with my hair lately. Not anymore - started a hair challenge.

If you want me to try out a product you've been thinking about trying. Let me try it for you! I am not a professional in any of these, just a girl with a big appetite for all things beauty.

two years
October 20, marked 2 years together. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 years now. We ate at Tumea & Sons, a little "mom and pop" restaurant in Des Moines. We had never ate there before, but will be going back. AMAZING!

necklace making
Yesterday, I "dressed up" for work. When I say I dressed up I mean I didn't wear mesh shorts. Our work as no dress code (I have the best boss in the world), so most of the time I'm a bum. I sported my Hello Kitty razorback, kiwi earrings, and green shorts. I don't even know when I bought my shorts, but they still had the tag on them and are now too big for me. Thank goodness they are a tie belt.
My reason for said "dress up" was my boyfriend and I were going to go see The Avengers again, but he hasn't been feeling the best and wanted to stay home. Which turned out ok, because I didn't have an excuse not to make my necklace I have been putting off. So, I got my butt to work. It turned out a lot better than I expected. I made it with oven baked clay. I am hoping to make some more and sell some in my hometowns little Farmers Market or maybe an Etsy account? Would you buy one?

long blog.
hello friends! it has been over a week since my last post. (oops!)
I have an excuse though, I've been sick... :( Don't worry, I am getting better.
- First, I would like to share with you a project I am slowly doing. I am converting my recipes from my little box to a binder. I have too many and my box is overflowing. My binder isn't pretty, but it gets the job done!
- Secondly, I got a free tote (Victoria's Secret addict) soo cute!

- The little town I am from has started their "farmers market" once a week. Which means you can bring any foods you grow, anything you make, or whatever you want to sell. So a few gals from my work are going to buy a table and sell things! I decided to make a few necklaces...
... I ordered material from Hobby Lobby, and these are my goodies. including bubble wrap I had a blast popping. I will let you know how those turn out!
- Found this little gem on a trip to Goodwill. Not sure what I will do with it, but I couldn't pass it up. Suggestions would be lovely.
- Bonus, everyone kept telling me how long my hair has gotten last week! It's always thrown up in a pony tail during the work week so I haven't noticed how long it has gotten.
So happy to catch everyone up. I will be HOPEFULLY be doing some gardening and crafting this weekend.
--Until we meet again!

product review:dry shampoo
THIS!
Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo. I love this! It makes it so easier/faster to get ready during the quick morning work week (whoa on the k's). This is the first dry shampoo I have ever used. I thought I would try some so my mother, who is a beautician, picked one for me. I have a lot of hair, and usually it's a pain to style. So instead of washing my hair in the morning I just rip it out of my pony tail, and put this on. After that, I use John Frieda's Secret Weapon. This calms my hair down and gives it a shine! To make my hair smell good...
...seriously
