what's for dinner? shrimp linguine

Last night I made the quickest, most delicious dish.

I really kind of threw these things together. So, don't hate me because I do not know measurements.

  1. I used wheat linguine noodles, and started cooking those in my pasta boat.
  2. While those were cooking, I put a tablespoon of butter in a large saucepan and threw in leftover shrimp I've had in my freezer. You will need about 2 cups? I did about 4... I went a little crazy.
  3. When those were almost done, I added 1 cup of frozen peas.
  4. After the noodles are done, I added them into the skillet.
  5. I finished the dish off with parsley, oil, and pepper.
The whole process took about 15-20 minutes! And it was amazing

Happy Cooking.

If you didn't think you could mix cheeseburger and a casserole, you would be wrong! YOU CAN

Recipe

2 cups rotini pasta
1 cp chopped scallions
garlic powder
1 lb of ground deer meat(you can use beef)
salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp tomato paste
28 oz diced tomatoes
2 tbsp mustard
grated cheddar cheese
1/4 c chopped dill pickles

350 degrees for 20 minutes

  • Cook your meat, I use my micro cooker to cook my meat.
  • Then, I use my pasta boat to cook my noodles.
  • While my noodles are cooking I sprinkle some garlic powder onto my meat.
  • Pour your tomato paste, diced tomatoes, scallions, mustard, pickles, and meat into a big bowl.
  • After the noodles are done mix everything together in the bowl.
  • Pour your mix into a 9X12 dish.

  • Bake for about 15-20 minutes! Delish.
Hope you like it!

Have you tried a Clarisonic brush?

weekend of treats

This weekend was a blast with my mom and grandmother. We did a lot of running around, with our dentist and doctor appointments. We did some shopping and got to stop at my favorite places. We stopped at My Favorite Muffin in Des Moines. It's a deli place with sandwiches, muffins, coffee. I hadn't been there in years and it's still my favorite.

We also got to stop at Orange Leaf in West Des Moines. It's a soft serve yogurt shop that you can add any topping you can imagine. I swear there is yogurt on the bottom of my candy.

Leave In Conditioner

Time to discuss my favorite hair care product. Redken's smooth down butter treat leave in conditioner. I love this stuff so much that I had to share it with all of you. I apply this conditioner 2-3 times a week, because I need it. I'm sure most of you can get away with once a week. I normally do this in the shower while I shave my legs. I'm sure you know how to apply conditioner, but here is how I do it.

  1. If you are doing this out of the shower make sure to sponge up the water so you aren't leaving a mess everywhere. If you are in the shower, just rinse it out a bit.
  2. This is how much I apply to the top of my head and the bottom of my hair.
  3. Just cover the top of your head and massage the scalp.
  4. Apply more conditioner into your hand and cover the bottom of your hair. Tie your hair in a pony tail and leave it. It says to leave in for 5-15 minutes, it's ok to leave it on longer. Sometimes I forget it's on my head.

Here is what the conditioner looks like. I know Redken products can be a little pricey, but this one is worth it! It leaves my hair so smooth. If my hair is a tangled mess(which is normally is) and I put this on it combs out like butter.

What is your favorite leave in conditioner?

Younkers/Walmart Haul

I am really excited about my purchases over the weekend. I crossed more things off my list and even got a little something extra! Let's start with my love for Urban Outfitters, and the hatred towards their prices. I am slowly, but surely realizing that I don't need to spend a lot to get the "look" I have been wanting this top for sometime now. It's come down to $24.00, which in UO world is pretty cheap, but in my world, it's not cheap enough. So, today while at Younkers I found this top.

The brand is Grane and it only cost $10.00. It is a thinner material and lighter in color than the UO one, but it will do just fine!

My momma bought me a little treat from Younkers, I also have it in pink

You may know by now, but I have a sore spot for Walmart clothes. I can't help it if I'm buying bread and I see a cute top or bag. Loud and proud ladies!! You can find very cute clothing items there, and they are inexpensive as can be. Who cares where your clothes come from right?

I wanted a "blue flow top"

These are the perfect yellow colored jeans. I do have to get them hemmed a little though. SHORTY HERE.

I can't wait to pair these with other items in my closet this Spring! What are you ready to wear for Spring?

Summer Ready

I know it's not even Spring yet, (2 weeks) but I'm already thinking Summer. I started applying my fake sun cream last night. I bought the Nivea Sun Kissed Radiant Skin two months ago, without knowing I still had a full bottle of Jergens natural glow. I'm starting with the Jergens. It says you should see a result after a few days, and full results after one week. Nivea Sun Kissed Radiant Skin says you should see full results in 5 days. I've never gotten results from tanning creams because I don't keep up with it like you are suppose to. Wish me luck!

These lotions are very easy to apply,  just rub the lotion all over your body. I apply it from my feet to my neck. I also always wash my hands shortly after for fear of them turning orange.

What kind of tanning cream do you use? What works best for you?

Looks: Pink Leopard

Last night I celebrated a girlfriend's birthday with a big group of girls. It was such a fun night, and a great excuse to let loose. We danced the night away. Here is what I wore!

  • Boots: Dolce Vita from Target
  • Top: Forever21
  • Jeans: Charlotte Russe

This is a shot of my jewelry I wore, and my coral nails.

  • My Hello Kitty watch was a Christmas gift a million years ago, do not remember where it came from. My pink bracelet was a Christmas gift this year, also.
  • The left ring it from Sally's for $2.00
  • The right, first ring "spoon ring" was my grandmothers. I really believe it was made from a spoon because it is definitely homemade. I would love to try and make one someday.
  • My opal ring was a birthday gift from my boyfriend couple years ago. He went to Jared's

Picture of my girls Ashlee & Kasey. You can sort of see my coral eye shadow, coral lips, and coral earrings. If you want to know how I did my eye makeup please comment below and I will do a tutorial.

Target Haul

Let me just start by saying that I don't normally shop at Target because I have a Walmart that is closer. However, today, I made the trip to Target thanks to my favorite site Ebates.com who sent me a $10.00 gift card. My boyfriend also had a few gift cards to Target he gave me! Here are my purchases.

  • I have a huge list of fashion clothes and accessories to buy, I was able to check "big black belt" off my list. It will go perfect with a fall dress I have. $16.99
  • I got my hair cut and layered recently, and my hair feels amazing. So, to keep it that way I'm trying out Tresemme Platinum Strength Heat Protect Spray. $4.39
  • I have more layers to give my hair more volume, so I needed a new round brush by Conair. It doesn't give me a size, but it's medium. $9.99
  • Lastly, these earrings were not on my list, but I saw the color and had to have them. The color says pink, but it's more of a coral. $7.99

Happy Saturday
