saturday was quite the hoedown. I got to listen to some friends play some country music. 

I had such a blast with my gal pal Bradi. She lives too far away :(

I wore my leopard cardigan and cowgirl boots. Yes, I'm gone fashion mad.

my birthday

Yesterday was my birthday. I decided to take the day off work. It really was a relaxing, beautiful day. I watched Glee all morning and made some coffee.

I wanted to make pancakes, but didn't have syrup, so I saved it in a ketchup container to eat later.

I also went a fetched my new car

On my way to get my car at my grandparents, I got the call my grandfather had passed away. He had been in a nursing home for sometime now. He is now in a happier, more beautiful place. I will miss him forever

pink/white leopard toes

Good morning Mondayers! This weekend went by too quickly. Probably because I was busy/lazy all at the same time. I did however, manage to finally get my toes painted!

I'm pretty impressed on how they turned out. 

There are the colors I used + white. 

Sorry, it's hard to see. I used sparkles, hot pink, black pen, and white polish.

First step is to paint your nails half hot pink half white.

Step two is to draw your black spots

Finally, add your sparkles. I just out the sparkles where the spots are!

Voila! Pretty toes. I did it pretty quickly, but I'm ok with how they turned out.

a special weekend

Friday, such a blah day that I don't even need to go into details about it. However, the day redeemed itself with a flower manicure! 

Saturday, was to be an exciting day. My best friend and old roommate was coming to town. It has been almost a year since I have seen her. It did bum me out I had to wake up to fog basically leaking through my window.

There were four of us and we had such a fun day shopping and laughing. I was sad to see her go 

:( 

We all got some really cute stuff. I usually prefer to shop by myself, but it was a blast to shop with the group!

Today (Sunday) I got up and did some picking up around the apartment and made a trip to Walmart. The best time to go is in the morning when NO ONE is there. I picked up some beauty supplies that I'm going to try! Also, picked up stuff to make this...

How to make:

1 rectangle of fat free cream cheese

a pint of fat free cream

5 small dill pickles

6 slices of ham (brand deli fresh is the best)

It is about 127 calories for 1/2 c. 

I eat mine with celery, but let's be honest it is much better with Club crackers
